March 26th 2008 - An intimate look at Bankie Banx Moon Splash Festival - Joining host Bree for this show were Show organiser Olaide Banks along with his bunch of happy helpers and Moon Splash veterans who travel yearly from Houston to Anguilla to be part of the festivities.
Jason, Burns, and the outspoken Douglas along with newcomer Zoeliga entertained listeners with their straightforward and happy go lucky attitudes. Olaide was chuck full of information about Moon Splash and the organisation of this massive event.
Listeners were encouraged to come out and join in the fun and celebration that is Moon Splash. Anguilla’s internationally known entertainer, Bankie Banks, established his popular Moonsplash festival which attracts thousands of people to Anguilla every year in the month of March.
It is said that Reggae fans would be hard pressed to find a better combination of talented artists and unforgettable setting than this annual extravaganza; all under the glorious light of an Anguillan full moon.
The featured acts for this year includes Steel Pulse and Tarrus Riley, Masud Sadiki, One White Chic - and the expected surprises. While the performers will be shining on the stage, the setting itself will likely shine as one of the night’s brightest stars.
