February 20th 2008 - Making AXA Lovely - The Anguilla Beautification Club members Mrs Hyacinth Hughes and Mrs Patricia Beard enlightend listeners about the many plants and flowers grown on Anguilla, the need to beautify the surroundings and the Upcoming Flower and Garden Show at Wall Blake House.
The women were in high spirits and had so much great information to share. They encouraged young persons to take up gardening and believed the island had much to learn from a club such as theirs.
Listeners were encouraged to visit the upcoming show and see what AXA had to offer in the way of beautiful plants and flowers.
Mrs Hyacinth Hughes spoke strongly about persons just randomly cutting down trees to make way for other projects, and advised listeners to please consult with their organization befor clearing land and cutting down trees
The Garden Show opening ceremony is on Saturday February 23rd at 11:00 am it will run until 5 pm. Sunday, the show starts at 10am, with the awards ceremony starting at 4:00
Crafters, food and music will be provided through out the day. Come and surround yourself in the beauty of Anguilla’s gardeners and appreciate the nature that surrounds us!
